Each new entrant
to the SHEETS program will begin in the Green Fleet instruction level.
It is with recommendation of the local sailing school instructor, not
parents, that an individual sailor will be progressed to the Championship
fleet, i.e. local sailors participating at one-time events will be denoted
as Green. It is NOT our intent to have participants arrive for racing
only. Clinic participation is beneficial to all SHEETS members.
PLEASE NOTE THAT WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO RUN RACES
IN THE A.M. FOLLOWED BY A P.M. CLINIC, if weather conditions apply.

sailing fun while competitive
Jeff Doubek will serve as Laser/420 head coach and coordinator of the
Lake Geneva program. Additional collegiate and nationally recognized
sailors will be added as available. The intent is to have three coaches
at the Lake Geneva program each session.

crew (rowing) team and sailing team A past IL Y A Optimist Champ, WY
A X Champ, Anne will instruct Optis at SHEETS and Lake Beulah this year.

developed a successful sailing program on Okauchee and Pine. Look at
the IL Y A X results and you will see the results of his teaching skills.
Matt continues to sail in the C class. His teaching abilities are his
strength along with his development of rapport with his students.
Ben Porter - Ben joins the Optimist staff at SHEETS for his first year
with the program. Ben is a junior at UW - Madison where he runs with
the nationally acclaimed Cross Country and Track programs. He is a veteran
instructor producing many fine sailors at Lake Beulah. His enthusiasm

the Green Fleet. This will allow for familiarization with the local
fleets who provide a large influx of one-time sailors. The local sailor
will benefit from teaching alongside the experienced SHEETS staff.
Special coaches: At the time of this printing, negotiations are underway
with special clinicians for two Optis and four Laser/420 events
